Corruption: NGO trains 500 youths on Civic ParticipationINCRESE
A non-governmental organisation based in Niger State has organised a two-week workshop for twenty selected young Nigerians as part of efforts to address the root cause of social problems, civic participation, especially through political engagement in the country
Addressing participants at the workshop at the weekend, Executive Director, Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights and Civic participation for Social Change, Ms Dorothy Nuhu Aken’ova, said the workshop by INCRESE Feminist Institute was committed to nurturing 500 young people aged between 25 and 35 over the period of 10 years.
According to her, “The workshop is designed to inject the youth into the country’s political system for progressive disruption in favour of sustainable development.
It is also aimed at imbibing strong principles of good governance, human rights, anti-corruption, transparency, accountability and also a strategy to hold the government accountable at every level of governance.”
